ROOTED

IN THE

NORTH

Guided by the Seasons-

A place where motherhood, home, and intentional living come together.

At Nelson's Northern Living, I believe a beautiful life isn't built through perfectionβ€”it's created in the quiet moments that make a house feel like home. Through the changing seasons, you'll find inspiration for creating meaningful family traditions, cultivating a welcoming home, embracing the beauty of nature, and choosing products that support a slower, more intentional way of living.

Whether we're planting a garden in the spring, gathering around the table in autumn, or finding cozy rhythms during a Wisconsin winter, my hope is to encourage you to slow down, savor the season you're in, and create a life that feels both beautiful and deeply rooted.

Welcome to my corner of Northern Living.

I'm Katie, a wife, mother, and the creator behind Nelson's Northern Livingβ€”a place inspired by the changing seasons, beautiful homes, and the quiet rhythms of family life.

For years, I found myself searching for a slower, more intentional way to live. After becoming a mother, my days quickly filled with diapers, dishes, laundry, and the endless responsibilities that come with caring for a family. Somewhere along the way, the parts of myself that loved- design, homemaking, and creating beauty in everyday life began to feel distant.

When our family moved back to my hometown in Wisconsin and into a fixer-upper, life became wonderfully fullβ€”but also incredibly overwhelming. Between raising babies and renovating a home, I often felt like I was simply trying to keep up.

Everything began to change when I stopped trying to do more and started paying closer attention.

My hope is that these pages encourage you to embrace the changing seasons, create beauty in the everyday, and build a home that reflects what matters most.
